THESIS IS A SHOWCASE OF A FINAL PORTFOLIO OF PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKS CREATED BY STUDENTS GRADUATING from the Bachelor of Science in Photography program at the University of Central Florida – Daytona Beach.
To submit works, upload your images to the Dropbox submission request link below, along with the Thesis Proposal documents that have been sent to your Knights email. Photography, video, and alternative process imagery is eligible for submission. Please submit digital images and the provided forms no later than 4:00 PM on March 31.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to do to submit my works to Thesis?
You must complete the Thesis proposal form (sent to you via Knights email) and upload to Dropbox by March 31, and provide TWO high resolution digital images for publicity. The form is used to estimate framing supplies and space needed for the exhibition. It also requires you to think about your series as a whole–how you wish it to be presented and experienced by the public.
After your proposal is approved, submit your finalized images to Dropbox as well as your completed final project (photographs/videos) to the museum by April 16 between 11am and 5pm. Students intending to mat/frame their own work have the extended deadline of April 20 by 5pm. Please turn in works that are in a condition suitable for professional display. You must also include an Illustrated Checklist and finalized Artist Statement when turning in your prints.
What am I responsible for in terms of matting and framing?
You may choose for the museum to mount and frame your work, or you may choose to do so yourself. If the museum is mounting and framing your work, you are still responsible for providing the mat board, including the necessary size and number of sheets. There is no fee for cutting the mats or framing your artwork. Please see our Matting and Framing Guidelines for additional details and recommendations. You can buy your mat board locally from the Stockroom, Southern Paint or Wall-Y-World Gallery.
If you are mounting and framing your own work, your artwork must be mounted on the primary backing board, but under no circumstances should it be adhered directly to the backing board. If you are printing & mounting your photograph directly to gatorboard or a similar substrate, then no matboard is needed. If you choose to handle the matting & framing yourself, works must be framed in a professional manner. If purchasing your own frames, they must have durable hardware and be ready to hang!
