Zine Workshop at the Southeast Museum of Photography

  • Southeast Museum of Photography 1200 West International Speedway Boulevard Daytona Beach, FL, 32114 United States (map)

The term zine refers to a small, self-published book or pamphlet which is often countercultural or subversive in nature. In the 1970s, zines became the medium of choice for getting the word out about venues and bands in the Punk scene. Join SMP Director, Whitney Broadaway, and learn how to overthrow the status quo with collage, typewriters, and several folding techniques. The workshop will meet in the Days of Punk exhibition to draw inspiration before moving into Classroom 202 to create. This is a free event, and all materials will be supplied, but there is limited space so you must sign up on Eventbrite in order to attend.
