Want to learn more about how a photographic collection is built? Gathering Light: One Collector's Journey explores what draws a collector to certain pieces over others, the strange journeys that lead to acquisitions, and what happens when a collector discovers a forgery. Join former Daytona State College photography professor Steven Benson, beginning in the Madorsky Theater and continuing into the gallery, as he details his own experiences in acquiring an extensive personal collection of photographs. This event will also commemorate the closing of the Gathering Light exhibition, which will come to an end after December 3rd.
