The Southeast Museum of Photography at Daytona State College is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant who will take on Digital Media Production and Marketing job duties. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.
Job Title: Senior Administrative Assistant
Job Type: Up to 40 hours* / Week
Compensation: $16.83 / Hour
Hours: Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required, to assist with events that fall outside of standard hours of operation.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: Duties involving marketing and digital media production will include (but are not limited to): creating print and digital advertisements for the Museum, social media and email campaign management, production of high-quality video content, digital documentation of exhibitions and events, and Museum website operation.
Job Qualifications: This position requires an Associate degree in Photography, Digital Media Production, or Marketing. Candidates must have the ability to operate and maintain various photography and videography equipment, as well as general proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software. Knowledge of Mac computers and software a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate digital and print marketing materials, promoting Museum exhibitions, events, programs, and other areas of interest to facilitate community engagement.
Manage the Museum’s website, keeping it accurate and up-to-date with current and upcoming exhibitions, programs, visitor information, and other relevant items.
Document exhibitions, events, and programs via photography and videography.
Create short and long form video content, using engaging and interactive storytelling techniques to generate public interest in Museum exhibitions, programs, and operations.
Publish content that meets recommended accessibility standards, such as closed captioning on video content.
Design attention-grabbing visuals for digital and print materials, such as posters, flyers, signage, banners, and graphics, to communicate key information clearly and effectively.
Create effective advertising campaigns via social media and email newsletter to communicate information concisely to a broad audience.
Collaborate with Daytona State College’s Marketing department to ensure that published materials meet the standards and guidelines necessary to align with the College’s branding and overall mission.
Track analytics across digital platforms to make data-driven decisions, monitoring content for performance and quality assurance, while conducting research towards contemporary trends in online platform engagement, and moderating public participation as necessary.
Participate in contact with artists and curators as situationally appropriate, helping to execute their visions for how they wish for their exhibitions to be represented, and coordinating with them to create marketing campaigns, interviews, and other engagement-oriented materials.
Assist other SMP staff in planning upcoming exhibitions, with input on visual and aesthetic elements such as key images, fonts, colors, and exhibition branding.
Maintain an archive of digital content for future reference, using past marketing materials and engagement statistics to assist in periodical grant reports and applications.
Manage the Museum’s company email address to respond to various questions and inquiries.
Create interactive 360 tours of exhibitions using Ricoh 360 equipment and software.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The successful candidate will have the ability to handle multiple short-term and long-term projects simultaneously, organizing and prioritizing tasks by level of urgency and importance. The candidate must also have strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to work well both independently without supervision and as part of a team alongside other Museum staff, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new and evolving situations. The candidate should also have an eye for detail and be very comfortable working on a computer. Preference will be given to applicants who have prior knowledge and experience using the Adobe Creative Suite to create content in a variety of digital mediums, as well as knowledge in DSLR cameras, lighting, and sound equipment necessary to create high-quality photography and videography.
