ABOUT COLIN FINLAY

For 30+ years I have been documenting the human condition with compassion, empathy and dignity.

I have covered war and conflict, disappearing traditions, the environment in both its glory and devastation, genocide, famine, religious pilgrimage and global cultures. In pursuit of my passions I have circled the world twenty-seven times in search of that one photo that will be testament to the depth of human will and compassion, of hope and of an informed collective conscious.

Throughout my career I have also worked in the commercial photography and filmmaking industries, bringing my unique perspective and talents as a documentary photographer and filmmaker to help conscious brands connect with conscious audiences.

Recently my work has evolved to incorporate music, which I compose and create in collaboration with amazing musicians, to help bring further engagement and resonance with my work on our global condition. I have also integrated my passion for painting into my photography, creating one-of-a-kind art objects to discover new depths of meaning and interpretation of my experiences over the years.
